As a monograph, artists’ book and poetry edition, this publication combines three performative roles to document the artist group JocJonJosch’s recent work, alongside their exhibition o o o , which took place at Le Manoir de la Ville de Martigny, Switzerland in 2017.
This book contains a collection of essays on the expanded field of performance indicative of JocJonJosch’s work, and a wider critique of art practice and production in contemporary culture.
The writers and curators include Rachael Allen, Rye Dag Holmboe, Andrew Hunt, Anne Jean-Richard (Le Manoir de la Ville de Martigny), Jo Melvin, Daniel Morgenthaler (Helmhaus, Zürich), and Stefan Wagner. It also includes a book of painting and poetry formed by a conversation between poet Rachael Allen and the artist collective.
An essential addition to the wider discussion around collaborative artistic groups, performance art, photography and contemporary translations of the legacies of Conceptual Art and Land Art.
Concept by Rye Dag Holmboe, Andrew Hunt, JocJonJosch, and Anne Jean-Richard Largey.
